On Wednesday, January 29, 2014, WILL SMITH flew out of LAX airport with his sons, JADEN and TREY SMITH. The trio were headed towards the Arab city of Dubai.
While there, Will decided to spend a day with his sons at the indoor skydiving facility; the same spot he took Tyrese to celebrate his 35th birthday. Will is no stranger to this daredevil task, as its obviously in his blood to fight against all fear.
Ive posted video BELOW of Will’s excursion in the plane before actually taking the leap. I could not find photos or footage of Trey taking the dive, but I can’t imagine he sat in the hotel and skipped out on all of the fun.
While many from this generation would argue that last year’s halftime show starring Beyonce was the best performance of our time, Id have to disagree. Those of you who follow me on Twitter and Facebook already know how I feel about her recycled stage antics, repetitive ad libs, exact same melodies and routine choreography. It was indeed a classic, Beyonce performance, but one that we had seen fifty million times over the past ten years.
For me, the absolute best Super bowl halftime show was delivered by BRITNEY SPEARS, N’SYNC, AEROSMITH ft. STEVEN TYLER, MARY J. BLIGE and NELLY. In 2001, MTV produced the showcase during Super Bowl 35. Initially, the pairing of all of these different artists seemed as if it would turnout to be a disaster. However, each star managed to hold their own on stage while blending their sound with the other artists.
I really LOVED this performance because it was filmed during a time when Britney Spears was ‘BRITNEY F*CKING SPEARS!’ She was bright eyed, toned, full of that spark and always ready to deliver a killer stage show. Justin Timberlake was preparing to part from N’Sync, so their music at the time was laced in a lot of urban beats. Aerosmith was riding high from their latest ballad release and Mary J. Blige was crossing over into mainstream recognition. I believe this Superbowl show happened during or immediately before the launch of Mary’s, ‘No More Drama’ era.
I really miss these types of performances, as now, the Super Bowl committee plays it very safe when selecting a featured star. I do believe that Bruno Mars will be entertaining tonight, but there honestly isn’t any real hype or anticipation surrounding his performance. So, for those of you who never saw the 2001 Super bowl halftime show, or for those who need a reminder of how incredible it was, tap into the visual below…
As celebrities have piled into New York City to celebrate Super Bowl XLVIII, DirecTV decided to host their very own festivities at Pier 40.
This year, DirecTV organized a celebrity Beach Bowl where stars were divided into teams to compete against one another.
Handsome actor, Michael B. Jordan and R&B crooner, John Legend, were both on board to toss the ball around on the beach. John Legend was joined by his wife, Chrissy Teigen. The two were snapped being silly alongside one another, as they played with super enlarged photos of their heads. Chrissy and John have been married since September, 2013 and spent their honeymoon in Italy.
Today, the couple were paired alongside Michael and others for a little friendly, football fun.
Those of you following me via Twitter and Facebook are well aware that MICHAEL B. JORDAN has been on my radar as of lately. For the past few weeks, Ive been sharing photos of him on all of my social media networks. The young man is extremely handsome, without being intimidatingly attractive. You know?…
In the photos I posted of him last weekend via Twitpic.com, I assumed that he was romantically linked to the woman he was walking with on Miami Beach. However, in the interview he granted to BlackTree TV a few days ago at the Hollywood premiere of ‘That Awkward Moment’, Michael declares that he has been SINGLE for a little over one month now.
he seems to be so humble and approachable…
As all of the celebrities are partying in East Rutherford, New Jersey for tomorrow’s match up between the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos, Michael B. Jordan attended the GQ/SHAPE/MEN’S FITNESS Super Bowl Bash. Posing playfully for the cameras, Michael was joined by the likes of John Legend, Mary J. Blige, Chanel Iman, Bridget Kelly and a slew of other industry folks.

Im not much of a sports fan, and never have been. However, there are certain individuals on and off the field whose names and faces I recognize. As of recent, PAM OLIVER has become one of those personalities. I began seeing the above posted photo of the 51 year old, Fox reporter in my Twitter and Instagram timelines a few weeks ago. People were also then creating memes to poke fun at the sideline personality for the condition and appearance of her hair. Pam didn’t initially respond to the public attacks, but now she has spoken out…
To be 100% honest, I do feel that male and female celebrities, reporters, politicians, athletes and other public figures are expected to uphold a certain, physical decorum. While I don’t feel that everyone needs to be laid in weave, drenched in labels and powdered in MAC, television personalities should be concerned with their appearance. After all, even as individuals, everyone on-screen represents the brand of their company.
On the other hand, Pam Oliver should be applauded and recognized for her professionalism as a woman who is succeeding in a male dominated industry. We too often expect women to polish themselves in such a way that still sexualizes or ‘pretties up’ their image in front of the men they engage.
I haven’t seen Pam Oliver on the sidelines enough to know whether or not her hair is usually tame or unkept. Pam makes it clear that she does not have a personal glam squad, and is more concerned with trying to speak with players pre game or doing any last minute research before conducting interviews.
